Usually, a request for prayer signals that something needs to change. Rebecca and I would like to ask you to pray because we need things to stay the same! I’ll explain…
Just over two weeks ago, we were in a tight place. Seeing no substantial increase in our support as well as not knowing when, from where, and how new support was going to come in, we began to worry. As I’m sure you know, it doesn’t take long for that seed of worry to blossom into a fully grown worry tree. So there we were, sitting beneath our worry tree when it came – the shift.
On our way to a service and in the midst of prayer an assurance began to come steadily to us – “this is our time.” The shift began in our hearts and, to be honest with you, it was just good, old-fashioned faith. Then we watched as that shift began to take shape on the outside.
That day and nearly every day since then new pledges for monthly support have been made. In the last two weeks our support has increased by 10% bringing us over the 50% mark before we even had time to blink. So you see, we don’t need you to pray that this will change – we need you to pray that this increase continues just as it has for the last two weeks!
